This 5-day course is aimed at participants with a basic understanding of infectious disease modelling and an aptitude for the R programming language. On completion, participants will be able to write and analyse the dynamics of a simple mathematical model and use it to consider cost and intervention scenarios.
The course is held at St Anne’s College, Oxford from the 23rd to 27th of September 2019.
Application deadline 17 July 2019.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- write a simple mathematical model that is appropriate for a specific infectious disease and related research question
- analyse the dynamics of the model
- use the model to consider varying cost and intervention scenarios
