COVID/TB resources now available on TB MAC website

In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, and concern around the implications of this for TB care and prevention, TB MAC is compiling resources describing the impact and mitigation of COVID-19 on TB. These include:

1) A series of recent reports modelling the potential impact of COVID-19 on TB,
Glaziou models the impact of disruptions in detection on TB mortality globally.
Vesga et al model the impact of health service disruptions and reduced transmission on TB and best mitigation strategies in Brazil and South Africa.
Pretorius et al extend results from India, Kenya and Ukraine to consider the global impact of health service disruptions and reduced transmission on TB for the Stop TB Partnership and USAID.
McQuaid et al model the impact of health service disruptions and changes in social contacts on TB in China, India and South Africa.

2) A collation of relevant data on the impact of COVID on TB health service delivery, transmission and social contacts, and COVID-19/TB comorbidity. Further details can be found on our website here.

If you know of any modelling or data on the impact/mitigation of COVID-19 on TB not included, please do let us know at tb-mac@lshtm.ac.uk.
